Donation
This is our page of causes
On this page, you can learn about several causes that
we are getting behind to support. Although we are not
affilated with any of these organizations or charities,
we have been blessed with this business and would like
to help out by spotlighting some organizations that
need your support. Our first cause is the Christus Lutheran
Church in Camden, New Jersey.
Christus Lutheran
Church
This is what Joe
Sullivan from CLC had to say:
"Our church has maintained a small computer lab
for children in our Afterschool Peacemaker program since
2000. We have a small library of donated software and
educational / recreational CD-ROM games. The computer
lab is part of our "peace center," an effort
to encourage positive behavior and stimulate learning
in our neighborhood. Camden, New Jersey is one of our
nation's poorest cities. The city has been in crisis
since the late 1960's and most of its neighborhoods
are "under siege" due to gang related violence,
drug dealing, and despair. Many families cannot afford
a computer and internet access. When we recently moved
our lab into another room in the church, our Apple Base
Station stopped working and we were lucky to discover
Base Station Repair.com and Rob Miller. Rob has suggested
upgrading our iMacs to OS X and adding RAM. Right now
there are no funds available for much of anything. I
am hoping that our ABS can be fixed and I will donate
the cost of the repair to keep us going. Rob has suggested
seeking donations from folks through a link on the Base
Station Repair.com website. We would be interested in
anything that people want to donate, especially educational
software, a spare copy of OS X, RAM, or whatever you
think we could use."
The iMacs are the "fruit-flavored" slot-loading
ones with firewire ports and 64 Megs of RAM.

It sounds like Joe
is helping a good organization. If you can help Joe
and Christus Lutheran Church, I think it will go a long
way to helping the community heal itself.
